Current routes cover Québec, Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Yukon and a Toronto-specific municipal relief program. More jurisdictions should earn their way in through useful-action evidence.
Québec
Revenu Québec unclaimed property
Search the provincial register for unclaimed successions, inactive financial assets and other property administered by Revenu Québec.
The register is free to search. Revenu Québec says new property is added regularly.
Québec · opens October 2026
Homeownership tax credit
Bought a qualifying home in Québec in 2026? Revenu Québec says advance-payment applications for its refundable homeownership tax credit will open in October.
The advance-payment application must be made by December 1 of the taxation year. Check the official Revenu Québec page for the current eligibility rules and application instructions before acting.
Alberta
Alberta unclaimed property
Search Alberta’s government registry for missing property and money, then claim through the official process if you find a possible match.
Alberta says the registry includes abandoned property transferred to the province and that searching is free.
Alberta · deadline Sep. 30
$100 Alberta Energy Rebate
Need to apply for Alberta’s one-time $100 energy rebate? The current application window closes September 30, 2026.
Government of Alberta says some current Alberta Seniors Benefit, AISH/ADAP and Income Support recipients are automatically enrolled, while new clients enrolled after July 1 need to apply. Use the official page to confirm your route and eligibility; SettleWorth does not collect SIN, tax-return, household-income, banking or Alberta.ca credential data.
British Columbia
BC Unclaimed
Search BC’s free public list for unclaimed money from sources such as credit unions, estates and courts.
BC Unclaimed operates the province’s unclaimed-property program and lets people inquire about possible matches.
Toronto · deadline Nov. 2
2026 property tax and utility relief
Use a City of Toronto property-tax or utility relief program? 2026 applications are open through November 2, and prior recipients must reapply.
The City’s programs can cancel or defer property-tax increases or provide water and solid-waste rebates when the published conditions are met. The City lists a $62,000 combined household-income ceiling for these programs; confirm every senior, disability, pension, property and utility condition on the official page before applying.
Yukon · claim window still running
Electric transportation rebate tail
Bought qualifying electric transportation on or before March 31, 2026 and did not already receive the rebate? Yukon still accepts eligible applications.
The program ended March 31, 2026, but the filing window is individual: apply within 1 year of your purchase date. Purchases after March 31, 2026 do not qualify under this ended program. Use Yukon’s official pages to confirm the route and requirements for your purchase.
British Columbia · opening watch
$1,000 Youth Work in Trades scholarship
The Province says new 2026 Youth Work in Trades scholarship applications reopen in September. The current page has not yet published the exact opening day or deadline.
Use the official Province page to check whether the 2026 application is live. Youth Apprentices registered on or before June 30, 2024 are described separately as automatic-award recipients who do not apply. SettleWorth does not collect residency, citizenship, school, transcript, financial-need or enrolment documents.
Nova Scotia · opens Oct. 1
Heating Assistance Rebate Program opening
Nova Scotia says new Heating Assistance Rebate Program applications may be submitted starting October 1, 2026.
The Province has not yet published the 2026–27 rebate amount, eligibility thresholds, closing deadline or current application form. Recheck the official HARP page on or after October 1 and use the live provincial instructions; SettleWorth does not carry forward prior-year rules by assumption.
Manitoba · final 2025 deadline Sep. 30
AgriStability flood and final-filing recovery
Still need to file a 2025 AgriStability form? September 30, 2026 is the final deadline, with targeted flood relief for affected Manitoba producers.
AAFC says the 2025 late-filing penalty is waived for qualifying producers farming in a Manitoba municipality or First Nation community that declared a flooding state of emergency, for forms received July 1–September 30. Producers outside designated areas who missed June 30 because of flooding may use the official appeal route. The separate 2026 late-participation path has 2027 deadlines and a benefit reduction, so confirm the correct program-year route with AAFC.
